Submission RULES

If your photo doesn't fit one of the categories listed, then please submit to Miscellaneous, not the wrong folder otherwise your photo will be automatically declined.

Just because your photo is featured in the group, that doesn't automatically mean it will be accepted when submitted to a gallery.

We have high standards in our group, a lot of photos will and are declined so please do not be disappointed if your photo is declined.

When declined, feel free to ask why the photo was declined but under the submission process only. We will not automatically give feedback, you must ask for it first. Please be polite when asking.


Recipe for Acceptance

ORIGINALITY - Your photo is very original, it's either never been seen before/not too common/has your own original touch
LIGHTING - Your photo has perfect lighting, [usage of backlighting is good/it's not over or under lighted/what needs to be seen is seen and what is meant to be darker/lighter is.]
IMAGE QUALITY - Your photo's image quality is very good. Where there is supposed to be noise there is and where there shouldn't be, there isn't. Camera phone pictures aren't accepted.
COLORS - Your photo's colors aren't overblown and aren't too subtle (exception: Black & White photography).
EDITING - Your photo cannot be over edited. Editing applied well is a good touch for your photo however something that doesn't give the feel of a more or less natural photo, then it will be declined.
MANIPULATIONS - Your photo can be manipulated however it must be a very good manip. The photo can be edited in photo editing software etc. and added textures are allowed, but rarely.
CREATIVITY - Your photo must be creative. Interesting angles, lighting, composition and originality should be applied to your photo.





Recipe for Declined...

No nudity.
No racism or violent/war related photographs.
No non-photography. This is a group for Timeless Photography, not artworks etc.
No big watermarks. DeviantART watermarks are not accepted.
No art theft. We do not support art theft and we understand the issue.
No miserable animals. Quite happy looking animals shots in their environment (taken at a zoo/your house) are accepted.
No self portraits/portraits that are your average phone picture.
